We currently have a Kowa TSN-883 Prominar and Celestron C5. The C5 was great 14 years ago, advances in optics have left it behind (thus the Kowa). However, my wife and I both use scopes, and with the C5 being my hand-me-down, I have been seeking a replacement. After checking a number of spotting scopes in hand plus checking reviews, I prefer the Celestron Regal 52303 over the one in this review so have order one of those. I have high expectations … time will tell the reality.
